Engineer Registration Scheme
Engineer registration is a vital piece of legislation which will improve community safety, make our industries and our economy stronger, reduce cost blow outs in projects, and protect and value our profession.
That’s why Professionals Australia campaigned strongly and won a commitment from Premier Malinauskas to legislate a comprehensive engineer registration scheme for South Australia.
We are now one step closer with the government releasing a
Discussion Paper on Registration of Engineers, however this proposal does not go far enough with no firm commitment to expand the scheme further than construction.
This is our opportunity to have our voice heard and shape the scheme engineers and the South Australian public need.
